Al celebrarse el sesenta aniversario de LIBRE, recordamos a los escritores que dedicaron su talento y su palabra a defender la libertad de Cuba desde sus páginas. Comenzando en 1966 con El Matancero Libre, estos autores contribuyeron a un capítulo significativo en la lucha por la libertad de Cuba que aún se escribe. Hoy recordamos a nuestros antiguos colegas que ya no nos acompañan. Aunque las limitaciones del espacio no nos permiten incluir las imágenes de todos, a todos les debemos nuestro eterno agradecimiento.

In memory of our late authors

As we celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of LIBRE, we remember the writers who dedicated their talent and their words to defending Cuba’s freedom from its pages. Beginning in 1966 with El Matancero Libre, these authors contributed to a significant chapter in Cuba’s struggle for freedom that is still being written. Today we remember our former colleagues who are no longer with us. Although space constraints do not allow us to include all of their images, we owe them all our eternal gratitude.
