Un nuevo grupo de leyendas del béisbol ingresó en el Salón de la Fama Nacional de Béisbol, en Cooperstown, Nueva York, durante una ceremonia celebrada el domingo 24 de julio. Entre ellos se encuentran dos cubanos que también triunfaron en las Grandes Ligas estadounidenses, Orestes (Minnie) Miñoso (1925-2015) y Tony Oliva (1938). Aunque Miñoso falleció sin poder ver su ingreso en el Salón de la Fama, Oliva estuvo presente para disfrutar de este gran logro, que representa un orgullo para el pueblo cubano.

Baseball Legends in Cooperstown

A new group of baseball legends was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, during a ceremony held on Sunday, July 24th. Among them were two Cubans who were very successful in the Major Leagues in the United States, Orestes (Minnie) Miñoso (1925-2015) and Tony Oliva (1938). Although Miñoso passed away without being able to see his induction into the Hall of Fame, Oliva was on hand to enjoy this great achievement, which represents a great sense of pride for the Cuban people.
