Este 29 de noviembre se conmemoró el 60 aniversario del fallecimiento del compositor cubano Ernesto Lecuona. El compositor de numerosas canciones, zarzuelas y otras piezas musicales falleció exiliado en España en 1963. En su testamento pidió la repatriación de sus restos cuando Cuba fuera libre. Hoy, Lecuona permanece sepultado en Hawthorne, Nueva York.



60 Years Without Ernesto Lecuona

November 29 marked the 60th anniversary of the passing of Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona. The composer of numerous songs, zarzuelas, and other musical pieces died in exile in Spain in 1963. In his will, he asked for the repatriation of his remains to Cuba when his homeland was free. Today, Lecuona remains buried in Hawthorne, New York.
